Passionate about doing design for social good?
Want to work on some of the UK’s leading charity brands?
Fancy being part of a small but fast-growing creative agency?
Location: London (presently remote working)
Job role: Mid–Senior Designer
Job type: Contract (4 months)
Salary: £250-£280 per day
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative designer to join our team. It’s initially to cover a paternity leave with the possibility of becoming permanent longer term.
Who we are
We’re Narrative, a small, well-established creative agency for charity and cause-driven brands. We believe in the power of storytelling to engage audiences and deliver results, whether that’s through design, copy, strategy – or better still, all three. We’ve recently refreshed our brand and grown our team, and we have ambitious plans to expand further. You can find more about us, our clients and our approach here.
Who you are
You’ll have at least five years of wide-ranging design experience. You’ll think big and conceptually, and you’ll always strive for creative excellence. You’ll be able to create, develop and execute design ideas from large re-brands through to small artwork projects. You’ll be comfortable producing campaigns, visual identities, fundraising and corporate communications, and you’ll have an understanding of how design works in digital spaces, including websites and social media.
You’ll like collaborating in a small team environment, generating ideas, problem-solving, challenging and being challenged. You’ll be confident with clients and external suppliers, and you’ll be comfortable commissioning and art directing photographers and illustrators. You’ll be able to juggle multiple projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines, and you’ll manage smaller projects autonomously. You’ll have attention to detail, good written skills, and you’ll be punctual, reliable and well organised.
You’ll be curious, with a keen interest in the design industry, current creative trends and best practice. You may have a degree (or equivalent) in a design-related subject, and you’ll definitely be familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud and MS Office. You might have illustration, video editing, photography, motion graphics and front-end web development skills too. Above all, you’ll be friendly, committed and passionate about doing work that makes the world a better place.
Sound like you?
We’d love to hear from you. Please send a CV, portfolio and a short email about why you’d like to come and work for us to firstname.lastname@example.org
We especially welcome applications from disabled people, black people, Asian people and people from minority groups who are currently under-represented in our industry.
