Brief

To produce a visually arresting impact report for high-value donors.

Challenge

To help a small charity punch above its weight with limited image resources.

Solution

A bold design solution, using Saul-Bass influenced illustration which reflected the core ‘Conflict is a normal part of life. Violence is not.’ message.

The provocative look and feel invited readers to turn every page and distinguished Peace Direct from its competitors. Our layout also enabled the narrative to work on multiple levels – at a glance, and in depth.

Result

The report was well received by the charity’ board and donors alike, becoming a vital tool for driving high-value donor income (we were delighted that the CEO took a bagful to every meeting he had!). Peace Direct’s income rose from £1.39m to £3.10m that year, and we’ve been designing their income reports ever since.
