Standing Together were commissioned by the Department for Culture, Media & Sport to deliver the Mentor Court Project, with the overarching aim of reinvigorating the Specialist Domestic Abuse Court model and improving survivor experiences of navigating the criminal justice system.
They required a report that could be used to share the Specialist Domestic Abuse Courts model and the work that Standing Together do with partner services.
The ‘Mentor Court Pack’ – as it was come to be known – needed to demonstrate a complex model for a very specific court programme that inspired and excited the reader.
The client wanted those reading to think more seriously and practically about the possibility of improving their processes & systems in relation to these types of courts.
Any imagery needed to be really considered due to the delicate nature of the subject matter and limited budget available for this.
In order to ensure the complex information was easily digestible we proposed the use of iconography, clearly laid out tables of information and pull out quotes throughout.
In order to showcase the situations that are discussed and demonstrated with survivors we put forward a large selection of stock photography sit within the document that we had to reduce along with the client until we reached a shortlist.
The final report was succinct, clearly laid out with icons, pull out quotes, concise tables and considered photography.
The complex information was divided into smaller sections to ensure it wasn’t too overwhelming to the reader.
The design of this then led to completion of other marketing literature to accompany the report and to aid the client team in presentations.
"Thank you to the team at Narrative Design, we are really happy with the final products!"
